generation driver Michael Hubert III scored his first feature win of the season, taking
the 50-lap Bay Cities Racing Association "Salute to Indy" event at the Champion
Speedway in Carson City, Nevada.

Outlaw Karts by Gary Jacob....Red Bluff, CA...Dec 10.....
Saturday night was the season finale for the Outlaw Kart All Star Tour traveling series,
but the Open Outlaw kart action was dominated by three of the more famous graduates of the
sport who now limit their Outlaw Kart efforts to just this indoor winter action. Quickly
moving up auto racing's ladder at the tender age of 17, Michael Hubert III impressed by
winning heat race from 4th starting, placing second to winged 410 sprint car champion Sean
Becker in the dash and then pacing the 30 lap A Main in wire to wire fashion from an
outside front row start. After turning heads with his BCRA Midget efforts in 2004, young
Hubert concentrated on the traveling USAC wingless sprint car series and also dabbled in
the pavement modified in 2005.
- Two IMCA modified wins at Shasta Speedway in only 3 starts
- 410 Sprint Car "Rookie of the Year" and 9th place in overall points at Silver
Dollar Speedway in Chico, Ca.
- 410 Sprint Car 6th place finish at Medford Speedway, Oregon. In only 2nd race of the
Golden State Challenge Series.
- First Time in a Super Late Model ran the Win-River 100 at Shasta Speedway. No Friday
Practice because of High School Football Game, Qualified 15th out of 39 cars, Started 17th
and finished 9th.
- Drove 7 different divisions in one year at 17 years old.

the famed California Gold Rush of 1849 and created the settlement where the speedway now
rests, then known as "Hangtown".
